Welcome to Custom Treasures! We are not just another jewelry website. Unlike a traditional jewelry store, which sells commercially created or mass-produced jewelry, Custom Treasures is a small online lapidary and fine jewelry boutique based in Aiken, SC!

If you’re unfamiliar with lapidary, it’s the art of cutting or shaping gemstone minerals into cabochons (rounded stones) or faceted stones, then setting the stones into unique pieces of jewelry art. We purchase uncut gemstone rough from all over the world (and occasionally mine it ourselves). Then, owner and primary artist Mike Daniels and our affiliated artisans apply their skills and decades of experience to take this material and transform it into wearable art. Sometimes the art is in the beauty of the stone itself, sometimes in the uniqueness of the setting, and many times both.

We’ve been selling our jewelry creations for several years at jewelry shows and craft fairs in the Southeast US, and are now reaching out to the world via this new website. It’s an exciting adventure, and a little intimidating for a small, family-owned business in Aiken, South Carolina. Still, we love what we do, using our passion and creativity to create one-of-a-kind pieces for our discerning customers. We hope you like what you see!
